SM Myanmar TTS - A Text-To-Speech Engine project for Burmese language - was built and has been coordinated by the Sao Mai Center for the Blind with the implementing collaboration of the vnSpeak Team and the Myanmar Access Technology (MAT). The project is sponsored by the International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI) Overbrook-Nippon Network of Educational Technology (ON-NET) and The Nippon Foundation (TNF).

-Myanmar words have been referenced from Myanmar Thesaurus and Myanmar Dictionary published by Myanmar Literature Organization of Ministry of Education and Myanmar syllable segmentation system has been referenced from Sylbreak (Ye Kyaw Thu) and MyG2p (Ko Ye Kyaw Thum Win Pa Pa) projects.
