Surah Yasin (the Heart of Quran Kareem) (36) was revealed in Mecca
and is known as a ‘Makki’ Surah. It comprises 83 verses. If Surah
Yasin is recited near a person on his deathbed then for each letter
recited 12 angels are sent to pray for his forgiveness and they
remain even when the soul is being taken by the Angel of Death.
Surah Yasin is one of the most powerful suras of the Holy Quran Majeed and the one who recites it is granted with huge blessings forgiveness and rewards in both the worlds.
