Gitimtim is a powerful tool that offers list of rhyme matches (in words and proverbs) for searched single letters or words in Amharic.

The app also offers 11 subject matter and 9 emotional scale categories to search nearly all known Amharic proverbs for meaning (details below).

We no longer need to search rhymes and proverbs from memory that offers only a fraction of what’s out there. Gitimtim utilizes an algorithm that recognizes sound patterns in over 50000 Amharic words and 5000 proverbs in 20 sort categories.

Now that there's abundance in rhymes focus can be shifted to creating stories and developing meaning enabling an easier outlet for the poet inside.

Proverbs - Already in 1-liner verses are rich in meaning and readily available to be searched and utilized in our poems today.

Gitimtim offers the following six search tools for rhymes either in words or proverbs.

1. Search by single letter in "ሁሉም ቃላቶች" (All Words) - Free - User enters a single letter (ነጠላ ፊደል) in the search field to find list of words ending in the letter searched.

2. Search by word in "ሁሉም ቃላቶች" (All Words) button - Free - For rhyme matches in database of all 50000+ words.

Word search - User enters a word in the search field then clicks on All Words for the algorithm to generate a list of the very best in rhyme matches which recognizes not only the ending letter but also sound pattern in letter before it.

3. Words by number of letters - ቃላቶች በፊደል ቁጥር ፍለጋ "ባለ 2-ፊደል" to "ባለ 5-ፊደል" (2-letter to 5-letter) buttons -

This offers search of words by number of letters for greater control in verse sounds and sense. For example three letter words rhyme / fit best with other three letter words.

User enters single letter or word in the search field then clicks on the button specifying number of letters for rhyme matches in words.

4. Proverbs - "ሁሉም ምሳሌያዊ አባባሎች" (All Proverbs) button - For rhyme matches in proverbs.

User enters single letter or word in the search field and clicks on "ምሳሌያዊ አባባሎች" button.

This leads to list of all proverbs that end with letter searched.

5. Proverb Categories ምሳሌያዊ ምድቦች" button -

This offers proverbs in 11 subject matter and 9 emotional scale categories.

When seeking proverbs about joy for example the contrast in those about sadness is helpful as well.

User enters single letter or word in the search field and clicks on ምሳሌያዊ ምድቦች" then marks category box (or boxes) of choice before clicking "ይፈልጉ" (search).

This results in list of all proverbs that end with letter searched and also categorized under boxes marked.

When selecting multiple categories results narrow further fine-tuning for targeted theme and meaning.

6. ቃል-አዘል ፍለጋ" (Keyword search) box -

This lists all proverbs that contain the word searched.

User enters a word in the search field and clicks on ምሳሌያዊ ምድቦች" then marks the ቃል-አዘል ፍለጋ" category box (uncheck all others) before clicking search ይፈልጉ". This results in list unrestricted by ending letters.

When to write (mix in) poems in short 4-8 line verses -​

- Sharing joy in weddings birthdays graduations first child etc.
- Writing in groups (family friends coworkers).
- Lyrics - singing rapping or worshiping
- Express love support gratitude or apology to individuals etc.
- Letters social media posts spoken word events etc.
